INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).
(c) Clear the DTC.
(d) Check for DTCs.
Result
B -- GO TO ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM
A -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK CAN BUS LINE FOR DISCONNECTION (YAW RATE SENSOR BRANCH WIRE)
(a) Disconnect the K35 yaw rate sensor connector.
(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE YAW RATE SENSOR BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR (CANH, CANL)
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (YAW RATE SENSOR - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the K35 yaw rate sensor connector.
(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.
Standard resistance:
(c) Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.
Standard voltage:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE YAW RATE SENSOR
