SLIDING ROOF: SLIDING ROOF HOUSING: DISASSEMBLY

1. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR ASSEMBLY

NOTICE:
To prevent the sliding roof glass and sliding roof drive gear from being displaced, fully close the sliding roof glass (sliding roof drive cable), and then remove the sliding roof drive gear.

(a) Detach the bracket's claw and remove the bracket.

(b) Remove the 2 bolts and drive gear.

2. REMOVE SUNSHADE TRIM ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the screw and sliding roof piece LH.

(b) Remove the screw and sliding roof piece RH.

(c) Remove the 2 sliding roof panel stoppers and trim.

3. REMOVE REAR ROOF DRIP CHANNEL

(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claw. Then slide the rear roof drip channel rearward to remove it.





HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

4. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE CABLE ASSEMBLY

NOTICE:
Do not disassemble the sliding roof drive cable assembly except when replacing it.

(a) Remove the 2 screws and 2 sliding roof side stoppers.

(b) Hold down the roof wind deflector panel assembly.





(c) Using a screwdriver, slide the drive cable in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to remove it.





HINT
* Hold the roof wind deflector panel assembly down until the sliding roof drive cable assembly becomes disengage from the roof wind deflector panel assembly.
* Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

5. REMOVE ROOF WIND DEFLECTOR PANEL ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws. Then remove the wind deflector panel.
