SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

1. GENERAL

(a) To assist the driver with parking the vehicle by displaying an image of the area behind the vehicle, this system has a television camera mounted on the luggage compartment door. The system displays the image on the display and navigation module display.

(b) The rear view monitor system consists of the following components:

(1) Rear television camera assembly

(2) Main body ECU LH (cowl side junction block LH)

(3) Display and navigation module display

2. FUNCTION OF COMPONENTS





3. OPERATION EXPLANATION

(a) The main body ECU LH (cowl side junction block LH) inputs the reverse shift position signal to the display and navigation module display when the shift lever is moved to R. After receiving the reverse shift position state signal, the display and navigation module display switches to the rear view monitor system.

4. DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION

(a) Navigation system and electro multi vision system have a diagnostic function displayed in the display and navigation module display. This function enables the confirmation of the input signal for reverse shift position state.
