DESCRIPTION
The front multiplex network door ECU RH receives lock/unlock switch signals and activates the door lock motor according to the signals.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (FRONT DOOR LOCK MOTOR)
(a) Select the ACTIVE TEST, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and the check that the door lock motor operates.
Front Multiplex Network Door ECU RH:
OK:
Door locks/unlocks.
NG -- INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH
OK -- REPLACE FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU RH
2. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH
(a) Apply battery voltage to the door lock motor and check operation of the door lock motor.
OK:
NG -- REPLACE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (DOOR LOCK POSITION SWITCH)
(a) Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the door lock position switch.
Front Multiplex Network Door ECU RH:
OK:
ON (passenger side door is unlocked) appears on screen.
NG -- INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH (DOOR LOCK POSITION SWITCH)
OK -- REPLACE FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU RH
4. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH (DOOR LOCK POSITION SWITCH)
(a) Measure the resistance of the position switch.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (PASSENGER DOOR ECU - FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH)
(a) Disconnect the M3 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the M6 door lock connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU RH
