SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
1. FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
The driver seat and front passenger seat are equipped with slide, reclining, lifter, front vertical and lumbar support adjustment functions.
The memory system for the front seats is optional. With the memory function, the position control ECU & switch performs the following: 1) controls the slide, reclining, lifter and front vertical motors; 2) memorizes the seat position; and 3) operates the seat restoring operation.
The memory call function uses the key ID code of the key to memorize and reproduce the appropriate driving position for each individual who possesses a master key or sub key.
2. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENT
The following functions are available.
3. SYSTEM OPERATION
The front power seat adjustment and position memory are shown in the chart below.
For the driver side memory function, the memory switch operation is first transferred from the multiplex network master switch to the position control ECU via the multiplex communication line. For the passenger side memory function, memory switch operation is first transferred from the front multiplex network door ECU RH to the position control ECU via the multiplex communication line. Then, either the seat position is recorded in memory or a previously recorded seat position is recalled.
