DESCRIPTION

The AFS OFF switch uses the multiplex communication system. First make sure that the multiplex communication system is functioning normally before performing troubleshooting on the AFS OFF switch.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch to the on (IG) position and turn the Techstream on.

(c) Select the items below in the Data List, and read the displays on the Techstream.

NG -- REPLACE INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch to the on (IG) position and turn the Techstream on.

(c) Select the items below in the Data List, and read the displays on the Techstream.
