DESCRIPTION

When the tire pressure decreases, the ECU sends the communication signal to the combination meter through the BEAN, and it illuminates the tire pressure warning light on the combination meter.

The tire pressure warning light also blinks and then remains on when the signal for the tire pressure warning light is cut off.

Refer to the "TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT AND INDICATOR CHART" section of the "DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM" for checking the condition of the tire pressure warning light Diagnosis System.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
It is necessary to perform the initialization Initialization after the registration Registration of the transmitter IDs into the tire pressure warning ECU if the ECU has been replaced.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DIAGNOSTIC CODE OUTPUT

(a) Check if DTC B1247 of the multiplex communication system is output B1247.

2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (READY).

(c) Check the condition of the tire pressure warning light by operating the Techstream. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.

OK:

The warning light turns on when operating the Techstream.
