Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR

1. DTC CHECK

* When DTC B1650/32 is detected as a result of troubleshooting for "AIRBAG SYSTEM", perform troubleshooting for the "OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM".

Use the Techstream to read and clear DTCs, otherwise the DTCs cannot be read and cleared.

(a) Check for DTCs.

(1) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(2) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(3) Check the DTCs by following the prompts on the Techstream screen.

(b) Clear DTCs.

(1) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(2) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(3) Clear the DTCs by following the prompts on the Techstream screen.
