Applicability

Introduction

Some 2010 - 2011 model year GS 350/450h/460 vehicles may exhibit a condition where the active headrest activates without a collision event causing a poor appearance. This condition may be present on both Front Seats.

A revised Active Headrest Lower Unit has been developed to address this condition.

Repair Procedure





1. Visually confirm the condition by examining the front seat headrest(s). If the headrest is extended or deployed without a collision this TSIB may apply. If not follow the Repair Manual and/or collision repair manual for additional diagnostics.

2. Remove the front seat headrest assembly, No.2 seat adjuster control cable assembly and active headrest lower unit. Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS), applicable model and model year Repair Manual.

3. Replace the front seat headrest assembly, No.2 seat adjuster control cable assembly and NEW active headrest lower unit. Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS), applicable model and model year Repair Manual.
