DESCRIPTION
The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) detects the condition of each door unlock detection switch.

PROCEDURE
1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.
(e) Read the display on the Techstream.

C -- INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH

A -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Interior Lighting System
2. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Inspect the front door lock assembly LH Front Door Lock.
OK:
Front door lock assembly LH is normal.
NG -- REPLACE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH Components
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH - MAIN BODY ECU AND BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the I9 front door lock assembly LH connector.
(b) Disconnect the F9 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) Testing and Inspection
4. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH
(a) Inspect the front door lock assembly RH Front Door Lock.
OK:
Front door lock assembly RH is normal.
NG -- REPLACE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH Components
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH - MAIN BODY ECU AND BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the H9 front door lock assembly RH connector.
(b) Disconnect the F9 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) Testing and Inspection
6. INSPECT REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Inspect the rear door lock assembly LH Rear Door Lock.
OK:
Rear door lock assembly LH is normal.
NG -- REPLACE REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH Components
OK -- Continue to next step.
7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH - JUNCTION BLOCK AND BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the K5 rear door lock assembly LH connector.
(b) Disconnect the 2D instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
8. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:

OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) Testing and Inspection
9. INSPECT REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH
(a) Inspect the rear door lock assembly RH Rear Door Lock.
OK:
Rear door lock assembly RH is normal.
NG -- REPLACE REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH Components
OK -- Continue to next step.
10. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH - MAIN BODY ECU AND BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the J5 rear door lock assembly RH connector.
(b) Disconnect the F7 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) Testing and Inspection
