* Use the following procedure to troubleshoot the navigation system (for DVD).

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE
(a) Inspect the battery voltage.
Standard Voltage:
11 to 14 V
If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding to the next step.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
3. DIAGNOSTIC QUESTIONING AND SYMPTOM CONFIRMATION
(a) Ask the customer about symptoms and confirm malfunctions.
Result:
B -- Go to step 11, AND PROCEED TO "BLACK SCREEN"

4. OPERATION CHECK
(a) Refer to Check System Normal Condition Operation Check.
Result:

5. CHECK MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM*
(a) Check for DTC output How to Proceed With Troubleshooting.

6. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM*
(a) Check for DTC output How to Proceed With Troubleshooting.

7. CHECK FOR DTC*
(a) Refer to DTC Check / Clear Navigation System (for DVD).

If more information is needed, perform a recheck using the "System Check Mode" screen after rechecking for DTCs using the Techstream Navigation System (for DVD).

8. DTC CLEAR*
(a) Refer to the DTC Check / Clear Navigation System (for DVD).
HINT
The current DTCs may not indicate actual malfunctions depending on the vehicle operating conditions.

9. RECHECK FOR DTC*
Result:
HINT
* Even if the malfunction symptom is not confirmed, check for DTCs. This is because the system stores history DTCs.
* If more information is needed, perform a recheck using the "System Check Mode" screen after rechecking for DTCs using the Techstream Navigation System (for DVD).
* Check the DTC and inspect the area code indicates.

10. DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART
(a) Find the output code in Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart Navigation System (for DVD).
NOTICE:
* The navigation system outputs DTCs for the following system.
* When DTCs other than those in Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart for the navigation system are output, refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart for the system.
