Disassembly





EXTERIOR: FRONT BUMPER: DISASSEMBLY

1. REMOVE FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH Removal

2. REMOVE FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

3. REMOVE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)

Removal

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

4. REMOVE NO. 3 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)

Removal

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

5. REMOVE HEADLIGHT CLEANER WASHER NOZZLE LH (w/ Headlight Cleaner System) Removal

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

7. REMOVE HEADLIGHT WASHER ACTUATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Headlight Cleaner System) Removal

8. REMOVE HEADLIGHT WASHER ACTUATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Headlight Cleaner System)

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

9. REMOVE NO. 4 ENGINE ROOM WIRE (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)

(a) Disengage the 9 clamps and remove the No. 4 engine room wire.





10. REMOVE HEADLIGHT HOSE (w/ Headlight Cleaner System)

(a) Disengage the 4 clamps and remove the headlight hose.





11. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE PROTECTOR

(a) Disengage the 13 clips and remove the radiator grille protector.





12. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.





(b) Disengage the 12 claws and remove the radiator grille assembly.





13. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE EMBLEM

HINT
When removing the radiator grille emblem, heat the vehicle body and radiator grille emblem using a heat light.

Heating Temperature:





NOTICE:
Do not heat the vehicle body and radiator grill emblem excessively.

(a) Put protective tape around the radiator grille emblem.

(b) Insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and radiator grille emblem.

(c) Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.

(d) Pull the piano wire and cut through the double-sided tape that holds the moulding to the vehicle body.

NOTICE:
* If reusing the radiator grille emblem, take care not to damage the radiator grille emblem.
* Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

(e) Remove the radiator grille emblem.

14. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE MOULDING

(a) Remove the 6 screws.





(b) Disengage the 7 claws and remove the radiator grille moulding.

15. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR GRILLE

(a) Remove the 2 clips.





(b) Disengage the 13 claws and 2 guides, and remove the lower radiator grille.





16. REMOVE FOG LIGHT MOUNTING BRACKET LH

(a) Remove the 2 screws and fog light mounting bracket LH.





17. REMOVE FOG LIGHT MOUNTING BRACKET RH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

18. REMOVE FOG LIGHT COVER LH (w/o Front Spoiler)

(a) Disengage the 5 claws and remove the fog light cover LH.





19. REMOVE FOG LIGHT COVER RH (w/o Front Spoiler)

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

20. REMOVE FRONT SPOILER COVER LH (w/ Front Spoiler)

(a) Remove the 6 clips.





(b) Disengage the 6 claws and 5 guides, and remove the front spoiler cover LH.





21. REMOVE FRONT SPOILER COVER RH (w/ Front Spoiler)

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

22. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER EXTENSION MOUNTING BRACKET

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and front bumper extention mounting bracket.





23. REMOVE LOWER FRONT BUMPER COVER

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the lower front bumper cover.





24. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RETAINER

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the 2 front fender liner retainers.





HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

25. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH

(a) Remove the screw.





(b) Disengage the claw and remove the front bumper side retainer LH.

26. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

27. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER

(a) Remove the front bumper energy absorber.





28. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT

(a) Disengage the 2 clips and disconnect the radiator support opening cover.





(b) Remove the bolt and disconnect the cooler (ambient temperature sensor) thermistor.

(c) Remove the 6 bolts and front bumper reinforcement.
