B252F - Luggage Door Open Switch No.2 Abnormal Operation
DESCRIPTION
The luggage compartment door hinge assembly LH (luggage door open switch LH) detects whether the luggage door are fully open or not and sends a signal to the sliding roof control ECU assembly.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
Before starting troubleshooting, check that there are no mechanical problems.
PROCEDURE
1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (LUGGAGE DOOR OPEN SW NO. 2)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Retractable Hardtop / Data List.
(e) Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.
Retractable Hardtop (Sliding Roof Control ECU Assembly)
OK:
The Techstream display changes according to condition as shown in the table.
NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE LH - SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU)
OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE LH - SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU)
(a) Disconnect the Q42, Q43 and Q36 connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. REPLACE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE ASSY LH (LUGGAGE DOOR OPEN SWITCH LH)
(a) Replace the luggage compartment door hinge assembly LH (luggage door open switch LH).
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
4. CLEAR DTC
(a) Clear the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Operate the retractable hardtop system.
(b) Recheck for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
OK:
DTC B252F is not output.
NG -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY
OK -- END (LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE LH WAS DEFECTIVE)
