NAVIGATION / MULTI INFO DISPLAY: HARD DISK DRIVE: REMOVAL
1. PRECAUTION
Service Precautions
NOTICE:
* After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
* A hard disk drive (HDD) is built into the multi-display to store map data etc. which will be used for the navigation system. Therefore, make sure to read all of the precautions thoroughly before handling the multi-display.
* When replaced the hard disk drive, eliminate static electricity by touching the vehicle body to prevent components from being damaged.
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
3. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transmission) Removal
4. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transmission) Removal
5. REMOVE FRONT CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transmission) Removal
6. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transmission) Removal
7. REMOVE UPPER NO. 1 CONSOLE PANEL GARNISH (for Automatic Transmission) Removal
8. REMOVE UPPER NO. 2 CONSOLE PANEL GARNISH (for Automatic Transmission) Removal
9. REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transmission) Removal
10. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL COIN BOX (w/o Ashtray) Removal
11. REMOVE FRONT ASH RECEPTACLE BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Ashtray) Removal
12. REMOVE NO. 3 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY Removal
13. REMOVE CENTER LOWER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL Removal
14. REMOVE DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY WITH RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY Removal
15. REMOVE HARD DISK DRIVE
(a) Remove the 2 screws.
(b) Using a screwdriver and slide the hard disk drive in the direction shown by the arrow to remove it.
