EXTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: REAR BUMPER: REMOVAL
1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)
(a) w/ Spare Tire:
(1) Remove the luggage compartment floor mat Removal.
(b) w/o Spare Tire:
(1) Remove the luggage compartment floor mat Removal.
2. REMOVE SPARE WHEEL COVER TRAY ASSEMBLY (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)
(a) w/o Spare Tire:
(1) Remove the spare wheel cover tray assembly Removal.
3. REMOVE SPARE WHEEL CUSHION (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)
(a) w/ Spare Tire:
(1) Remove the spare wheel cushion Removal.
4. REMOVE SPARE TIRE (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)
(a) w/ Spare Tire:
(1) Remove the spare tire Removal.
5. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) Removal
6. REMOVE LOWER INNER LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) Removal
7. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER HOOK HOLDER (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) Removal
8. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF GUIDE RAIL STOPPER (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) Removal
9. REMOVE FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) Removal
10. REMOVE DECK SIDE TRIM BOX LH (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) Removal
11. REMOVE DECK SIDE TRIM BOX RH (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) Removal
12. REMOVE LUGGAGE DOOR LOCK PROTECTOR (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) Removal
13. REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)
(a) for Rear Side:
(1) Remove the rope hook assembly Removal.
14. REMOVE REAR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) Removal
15. REMOVE NO. 2 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR CUSHION (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) Removal
16. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER STOPPER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) Removal
17. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM SIDE COVER LH (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) Removal
18. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR SIDE CUSHION LH Removal
19. REMOVE ROPE HOOK (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)
(a) for LH Side:
(1) Remove the rope hook Removal.
20. REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)
(a) for Front LH:
(1) Remove the rope hook assembly Removal.
21. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER LH (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) Removal
22. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PLATE LH
(a) Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws and remove the rear bumper plate LH.

23. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PLATE RH
HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
24. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ASSEMBLY
(a) w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System:
(1) Disconnect the No. 3 luggage room wire connector.
(b) Put protective tape around the rear bumper assembly.

(c) Using a clip remover, remove the 4 clips.
(d) Remove the 2 screws.
(e) Remove the 4 screws and 2 rear bumper seal brackets.
(f) Disengage the 6 claws and disconnect the rear bumper assembly as shown in the illustration.
HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
(g) Disengage the 4 claws and remove the rear bumper assembly as shown in the illustration.
(h) w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System:
(1) Disengage the clamp and remove the grommet.
