Disassembly





DOOR / HATCH: FRONT DOOR: DISASSEMBLY

1. PRECAUTION (w/ Navigation System for HDD)

NOTICE:
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG

(a) Using a moulding remover, disengage the 3 claws, and remove the front door inside handle bezel plug.





4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH

(a) Disengage the 2 clips in the order shown in the illustration and remove the front door lower frame bracket garnish.





5. REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL

(a) except Wood Panel:

(1) Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 claws and 2 clips.





(2) Disconnect the connector and remove the power window regulator master switch assembly with front door armrest base panel.

(b) for Wood Panel:

(1) Using a moulding remover, disengage the 3 claws and 2 clips.





(2) Disconnect the connector and remove the power window regulator master switch assembly with front door armrest base panel.

6. REMOVE COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY Removal

7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 screws.





(b) Using a clip remover, disengage the 10 clips.

(c) Raise the front door trim board and remove the front door trim board together with the front door inner glass weatherstrip.

(d) Disconnect the front door lock remote control cable assembly and front door inside locking cable assembly.





(e) Disconnect each connector and remove the front door trim board sub-assembly.

8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INNER GLASS WEATHERSTRIP

(a) Disengage the 8 claws and remove the front door inner glass weatherstrip from the front door panel as shown in the illustration.





9. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY Removal

10. REMOVE FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY Removal

11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 3 screws and bracket.





(b) Remove the 4 screws and front door inside handle sub-assembly.





12. REMOVE SEAT MEMORY SWITCH (w/ Seat Position Memory System) Removal

13. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM COVER

(a) Using a clip remover, disengage the 6 clips and remove the front door trim cover.





14. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY Removal

15. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY (w/ Memory) Removal

16. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR PROTECTOR Removal

17. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY Removal

18. REMOVE DOOR SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR Removal

19. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER

(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the wire harness.





(b) Disconnect each connector.

(c) Disengage each clamp and remove the front door service hole cover.

HINT
Remove any remaining butyl tape from the door.

20. REMOVE FRONT DOOR UPPER WINDOW STOP

(a) for Front Side:

(1) Remove the bolt and front door upper window stop.





(b) for Rear Side:

(1) Remove the plate plug.





(2) Remove the bolt and front door upper window stop.





21. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal and front power window motor connector.

(b) Connect the power window regulator master switch assembly and move the front door glass sub-assembly so that the door glass bolts can be seen.

(c) Disconnect the power window regulator master switch assembly and front power window motor connector.

(d) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

(e) Remove the 3 nuts and front door glass sub-assembly.





NOTICE:
Do not damage the door glass.

22. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Loosen the 2 nuts (A) and remove the 2 window regulator shims.





(b) Remove the 7 nuts and front door window regulator assembly.

23. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 claws and guide, and remove the front door power window regulator base plate.





(b) Using needle nose pliers, remove the drum and wire guide from the power window regulator motor assembly.





NOTICE:
Do not use a screwdriver to remove them. Using a screwdriver may damage the regulator wire.

24. REMOVE FRONT DOOR NO. 2 STIFFENER CUSHION

(a) Remove the 2 bolts.





(b) Disengage the 2 guides and remove the double-sided tape and front door No. 2 stiffener cushion.

25. REMOVE FRONT DOOR FRONT LOWER FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the bolt, nut and front door front lower frame sub-assembly with the front door glass run.





(b) Disengage the guide and remove the front door glass run from the front door front lower frame sub-assembly.





26. REMOVE FRONT DOOR FRONT LOWER FRAME UPPER COVER

27. REMOVE FRONT DOOR DIVISION BAR SEAL

(a) Using a clip remover, disengage the 2 clips.





(b) Disengage the guide and remove the front door division bar seal.

28. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP

(a) Using a clip remover, remove the 4 clips.





(b) Using a clip remover, disengage the 22 clips and remove the front door weatherstrip.

29. REMOVE DOOR GLASS FEMALE STABILIZER

(a) Remove the plate plug.





(b) Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 screws and door glass female stabilizer.





30. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER (for Driver Side)

(a) Using an emergency key, disengage the 2 claws and remove the front door outside handle cover.





31. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK CYLINDER ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side)

(a) Remove the hole plug.





(b) Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, loosen the screw and remove the front door lock cylinder.

HINT
The screw cannot be removed because it is integrated into the front door outside handle frame sub-assembly.

32. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Remove the hole plug.





(b) Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, loosen the screw and remove the front door outside handle cover.

HINT
The screw cannot be removed because it is integrated into the front door outside handle frame sub-assembly.

33. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the connector.





(b) Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, loosen the screw.

(c) Remove the front door outside handle assembly as shown in the illustration.





34. REMOVE FRONT DOOR FRONT OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD

(a) Disengage the 3 claws and remove the front door front outside handle pad.





35. REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front door rear outside handle pad.





36. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 screws.





(b) Sliding the front door lock assembly downward, pull out the front door lock open rod from the outside handle frame, and remove the front door lock assembly and cables as a unit.

(c) Remove the front door lock open rod from the front door lock assembly.

(d) Remove the door lock wiring harness seal from the front door lock assembly.

37. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the front door lock remote control cable assembly.





38. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE LOCKING CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 claws.





HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(b) Remove the front door inside locking cable assembly.





39. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the screw.





(b) Disconnect the connector.

(c) Disengage the 2 clamps.

(d) Disengage the claw and remove the front door outside handle frame sub-assembly.

40. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK OPEN ROD

(a) Remove the front door lock open rod as shown in the illustration.





41. REMOVE DOOR ELECTRICAL KEY OSCILLATOR Removal

42. REMOVE FRONT DOOR CHECK COVER

(a) Remove the front door check cover.





43. REMOVE FRONT DOOR CHECK ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the bolt, 2 nuts and front door check assembly.





44. REMOVE FRONT DOOR NO. 2 WEATHERSTRIP

(a) Using a clip remover, disengage the 10 clips and front door No. 2 weatherstrip.





45. REMOVE FRONT DOOR BELT MOULDING

46. REMOVE FRONT DOOR PANEL CUSHION

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front door panel cushion.





HINT
This cushion needs to be replaced with a new one because the claws will break when removing the front door panel cushion.
