PART 1
1. PRECAUTION
Service Precautions
NOTICE:
w/ Navigation System for HDD:
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal Service Precautions.
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
3. SET LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR
(a) Using a screwdriver, remove the key cover.
(b) Using the mechanical key, release the luggage compartment door lock.
(c) Open the luggage compartment door.
(d) Pull the emergency cable at the luggage compartment door hinge assembly LH and RH to release the closer lock.
(e) Hold the luggage compartment door by the luggage compartment door hinge and move it to the position shown in the illustration.
NOTICE:
* Perform this operation using 2 persons.
* Synchronize the movement of the left and right sides of the luggage compartment door when moving it.
* A large amount of force is required to open the front of the luggage compartment door. Perform the operation slowly.
* When moving the luggage compartment door, be careful not to apply force to the No. 1 and No. 2 package tray trim hinges.
4. REMOVE INNER LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER LH
(a) Remove the 2 screws.
(b) Disengage the claw, fastener and remove the luggage compartment trim cover inner LH.
5. REMOVE NO. 2 SIDE TRIM BRACKET
(a) Remove the bolt and No. 2 side trim bracket.
6. REMOVE NO. 2 PACKAGE TRAY TRIM HINGE
(a) Disconnect the connector.
(b) Disengage the clamp.
(c) Remove the 2 bolts and No. 2 package tray trim hinge.
7. REMOVE NO. 2 PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY
(a) Disengage the 4 clips and remove No. 2 package tray trim panel assembly.
8. REMOVE INNER LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER RH
HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
9. REMOVE QUARTER TRIM BRACKET RH
HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
10. REMOVE NO. 1 PACKAGE TRAY TRIM HINGE
HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
11. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY
HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
12. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM GARNISH LH
(a) Disengage the 4 claws and clip, and remove the package tray trim garnish LH.
13. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM GARNISH RH
HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
14. REMOVE UNDER PACKAGE TRAY TRIM COVER
(a) Disengage the 6 clips.
(b) Slide the package tray trim cover toward the rear of the vehicle and disengage the 5 guides to remove the under package tray trim cover.
15. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM COVER
(a) Disengage the 6 clips.
(b) Slide the package tray trim cover under toward the front of the vehicle and disengage the 5 guides to remove the package tray trim cover.
16. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY PANEL (for Front Side)
(a) Remove the 4 bolts and package tray panel.
17. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY PANEL (for Rear Side)
(a) Remove the 6 bolts and package tray panel.
18. SET PACKAGE TRAY TRIM BRACKET
(a) Use a wrench to move the package tray trim bracket to the position shown in the illustration.
(b) Using a socket hexagon wrench 5, remove the 2 bolts.
(c) Slide the bracket toward the front of the vehicle and disconnect the side bracket from the removable roof lock.
NOTICE:
Be careful when sliding the RH side, because a limit switch is attached to it.
(d) Remove the side bracket from each side.
HINT
The RH side cannot be detached from the vehicle because a limit switch is attached to it.
19. ROOF HALF-OPEN
(a) Manually move the roof to the position shown in the illustration.
NOTICE:
* Perform this operation using 2 persons.
* Synchronize the movement of the left and right sides of the roof when moving it.
20. REMOVE NO. 1 ROOF SIDE RAIL GARNISH LH Removal
21. REMOVE NO. 1 ROOF SIDE RAIL GARNISH RH Removal
22. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY (for Center) Removal
23. REMOVE FRONT SIDE RAIL SPACER LH
(a) Using needle nose pliers, disengage the 3 claws and remove the front side rail spacer LH.
24. REMOVE FRONT SIDE RAIL SPACER RH
(a) Using needle nose pliers, disengage the 3 claws and remove the front side rail spacer RH.
25. REMOVE FRONT SLIDE ROOF PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the 2 connectors.
(b) Using a clip remover, disengage the 2 clamps.
(c) Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 8 bolts and front slide roof panel sub-assembly.
26. REMOVE ROOF SIDE RAIL WEATHERSTRIP LH
(a) Disengage the 2 clips.
(b) Remove the 2 screws and roof side rail weatherstrip LH.
27. REMOVE ROOF SIDE RAIL WEATHERSTRIP RH

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
28. REMOVE CENTER ROOF SIDE RAIL WEATHERSTRIP RETAINER LH
(a) Remove the 6 screws and center roof side rail weatherstrip retainer LH.
29. REMOVE CENTER ROOF SIDE RAIL WEATHERSTRIP RETAINER RH

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
30. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Using a clip remover, disengage the 3 clamps.
(b) Remove the 2 bolts and sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly.
31. REMOVE REMOVABLE ROOF LOCK SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Using a clip remover, disengage the 3 clamps.
(b) Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 9 bolts and the removable roof lock sub-assembly.
32. REMOVE NO. 3 ROOF SIDE RAIL GARNISH LH Removal
33. REMOVE NO. 3 ROOF SIDE RAIL GARNISH RH Removal
34. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY (for Rear Side) Removal
35. REMOVE REAR SIDE RAIL SPACER LH
(a) Using needle nose pliers, disengage the 3 claws and remove the rear side rail spacer LH.
36. REMOVE REAR SIDE RAIL SPACER RH
(a) Using needle nose pliers, disengage the 3 claws and remove the rear side rail spacer RH.
37. REMOVE REAR SLIDE ROOF PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the 2 connectors.
(b) Using a 5 mm hexagon wrench socket, turn the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly counterclockwise to loosen the wire.
(c) Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the 2 back window wires.
(d) Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 6 bolts and rear slide roof panel sub-assembly.
38. REMOVE REAR REMOVABLE ROOF WEATHERSTRIP
(a) Remove the 6 screws and rear removable roof weatherstrip.
39. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Using a clip remover, disengage the 3 clamps.
(b) Remove the 2 bolts and sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly.
40. REMOVE BACK WINDOW LOCK ASSEMBLY
(a) Using a clip remover, disengage the clamp.
(b) Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 9 bolts and back window lock assembly.
41. REMOVE NO. 3 ROOF SIDE WEATHERSTRIP RETAINER SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 4 screws and No. 3 roof side weatherstrip retainer sub-assembly.
42. REMOVE NO. 4 ROOF SIDE WEATHERSTRIP RETAINER SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 4 screws and No. 4 roof side weatherstrip retainer sub-assembly.
43. SET UPPER BACK WINDOW FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Manually move the upper back window frame sub-assembly to the position shown in the illustration.
NOTICE:
* Perform this operation using 2 persons.
* Synchronize the movement of the left and right sides of the upper back window frame sub-assembly when moving it.
44. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH LH Removal
45. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH RH Removal
46. REMOVE UPPER BACK WINDOW FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the 2 connectors.
(b) Using a clip remover, disengage the 2 clamps.
(c) Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 6 bolts and upper back window frame sub-assembly.
47. REMOVE QUARTER PILLAR GARNISH LH
48. REMOVE QUARTER PILLAR GARNISH RH
HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
49. REMOVE BACK WINDOW CHANNEL WEATHERSTRIP
(a) Set the removable roof garnish LH
(1) Using a moulding remover, pry the removable roof garnish LH in the direction shown in the illustration to make a gap so that the back window channel weatherstrip can be removed.
NOTICE:
Pry the removable roof garnish LH without dislodging the butyl tape or double-sided tape. If the butyl tape or double-sided tape comes loose, it is necessary to replace the removable roof garnish LH with a new one.

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
(b) Set the back window lower outside moulding.
(1) Using a moulding remover, pry the back window lower outside moulding in the direction shown in the illustration to make a gap so that the back window channel weatherstrip can be removed.
NOTICE:
Pry the back window lower outside moulding without dislodging the double-sided tape. If the double-sided tape comes loose, it is necessary to replace the back window lower outside moulding with a new one.
(c) Disengage the 4 clips.
(d) Remove the 4 screws and center back window glass weatherstrip.
50. REMOVE REAR ROOF SIDE RAIL WEATHERSTRIP RETAINER LH
(a) Remove the 5 screws and rear roof side rail weatherstrip retainer LH.
51. REMOVE REAR ROOF SIDE RAIL WEATHERSTRIP RETAINER RH
HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
52. REMOVE REAR ROOF HEADLINING GARNISH
(a) Disengage the 5 clips and remove the rear roof headlining garnish.
53. REMOVE REMOVABLE ROOF PANEL STOPPER LH
(a) Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 bolts and removable roof panel stopper LH.
54. REMOVE REMOVABLE ROOF PANEL STOPPER RH

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
55. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT (w/ Spare Tire)
(a) Remove the luggage compartment floor mat.
56. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT (w/o Spare Tire)
(a) Remove the luggage compartment floor mat.
57. REMOVE SPARE WHEEL CUSHION (w/ Spare Tire)
(a) Remove the spare wheel cushion.
58. REMOVE SPARE TIRE (w/ Spare Tire)
