Installation





SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

NOTICE:
* Do not apply voltage directly to any of the power seat motors to move the seat assembly.
* If voltage is directly applied to a power seat motor (not through the position control ECU), inconsistencies with previously stored positions may result in abnormal operation.

(a) Place the front seat assembly in the cabin.

NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

(b) Connect the connectors under the seat.

(c) Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.

(d) Temporarily install the front seat assembly with the 4 bolts.





(e) Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the rearmost position.

(f) Tighten the 2 bolts on the front side of the seat.





Torque : 37 Nm (377 kgf-cm, 27 ft-lbf)

HINT
Tighten the bolts in the order indicated in the illustration.

(g) Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the foremost position.

(h) Tighten the 2 bolts on the rear side of the seat.





Torque : 37 Nm (377 kgf-cm, 27 ft-lbf)

HINT
Tighten the bolts in the order indicated in the illustration.

2. INSTALL REAR INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER

(a) Engage the 2 claws and install the rear inner seat track bracket cover.





3. INSTALL REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER

(a) Engage the 2 claws and install the rear outer seat track bracket cover.





4. INSTALL FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER

(a) Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the rearmost position.

(b) Engage the 2 claws and install the front inner seat track bracket cover.





5. INSTALL FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER

(a) Engage the 2 claws and install the front outer seat track bracket cover.





6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY

7. PERFORM REGISTRATION

HINT
* If the occupant classification ECU has been replaced, perform registration Registration.
* If the position control ECU and switch assembly has been replaced, register the end-point positions of the reclining motor, lifter motor and slide motor Operation Check.
* If the front seat adjuster assembly has been replaced, clear seat positions stored in the position control ECU and switch assembly, and then register the end-point positions of the reclining motor, lifter motor and slide motor Operation Check.

8. ZERO POINT CALIBRATION AND SENSITIVITY CHECK

HINT
If the occupant classification ECU has been replaced, perform zero point calibration and sensitivity check Initialization.

9. INSPECT FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

(a) Check the power seat operation.

(b) Check the seat heater operation.

(1) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(2) Turn the seat heater switch on.

(3) Wait 5 minutes or more and confirm that the seat surface becomes warm.

10. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
