SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION

CAUTION:
Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing Service Precautions.

NOTICE:
* After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal (w/ HDD Navigation System).
* Do not apply voltage directly to any of the power seat motors to move the seat assembly.
* If voltage is directly applied to a power seat motor (not through the position control ECU), inconsistencies with previously stored positions may result in abnormal operation.

2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY

3. REMOVE FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER

(a) Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the rearmost position.

(b) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front outer seat track bracket cover.





4. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front inner seat track bracket cover.





5. REMOVE REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER

(a) Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the foremost position.

(b) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the rear outer seat track bracket cover.





6. REMOVE REAR INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the rear inner seat track bracket cover.





7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

(a) Loosen the 2 bolts on the rear side of the seat.





(b) Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the rearmost position.

(c) Loosen the 2 bolts on the front side of the seat.





(d) Adjust the seat stop positions to as described in the table below.





HINT
Refer to Data List for specifics regarding the seat stop positions Scan Tool Testing and Procedures.

(e) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

(f) Remove the 4 bolts.





(g) Disconnect each connector under the seat, remove the front seat assembly.

NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
