Removal





SEAT: REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

1. ROOF HALF-OPEN Removal

2. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM GARNISH LH

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and clip and remove the package tray trim garnish LH.





3. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM GARNISH RH

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and clip and remove the package tray trim garnish RH.





4. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Disengage the 2 front hooks of the rear seat cushion assembly LH from the vehicle body.

NOTICE:
Follow the instructions below carefully as the cushion frame deforms easily.

(1) Choose a hook to disengage first. Place your hands near the hook as shown in the illustration. Then lift the seat cushion to disengage the hook.

(2) Repeat for the other hook.

(b) Disengage the rear hook of the rear seat cushion assembly LH from the front seatback.

(c) Remove the rear seat cushion assembly LH.

5. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Disengage the 2 front hooks of the rear seat cushion assembly RH from the vehicle body.

NOTICE:
Follow the instructions below carefully as the cushion frame deforms easily.

(1) Choose a hook to disengage first. Place your hands near the hook as shown in the illustration. Then lift the seat cushion to disengage the hook.

(2) Repeat for the other hook.

(b) Disengage the rear hook of the rear seat cushion assembly RH from the front seatback.

(c) Remove the rear seat cushion assembly RH.

6. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY WITH REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 4 bolts and 2 nuts.





(b) As shown in the illustration, disengage the 3 hooks and lift the rear seatback assembly upward.





(c) As shown in the illustration, pull the rear seatback assembly forward.

(d) Remove the 4 bolts and rear seatback assembly with rear console box assembly.





NOTICE:
* When removing the rear seatback assembly with console box from the vehicle, make sure that there are two or more people available to support it.
* Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

7. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 8 hog rings.





(b) Disengage the 2 cable clamps from the rear seatback frame.

(c) Disengage the 2 cable hooks from the 2 rear seat headrest assemblies.





(d) Disconnect the rear seat lock control cable cap as shown in the illustration.

(e) Remove the connector case as shown in the illustration.

(f) Disconnect the rear seat lock control cable from the rear seat lock control cable lock piece as shown in the illustration.

(g) Remove the rear seat headrest cable with rear seat lock control cable lock piece as shown in the illustration.

(h) Remove the rear console box assembly.

(i) When replacing the rear seat headrest cable with a new one:

(1) Cut portion A shown in the illustration to separate the rear seat lock control cable lock piece.

HINT
The rear seat lock control cable lock piece is supplied with the rear seat lock control cable. Therefore, cut the rear seat headrest cable to remove it and reuse the rear seat lock control cable lock piece.

(j) When replacing the rear seat lock control cable with a new one:

(1) The rear seat lock control cable lock piece cannot be removed from the rear seat headrest cable. Therefore, when replacing the rear seat control cable, replace the rear seat headrest cable and rear seat lock control cable together Disassembly.
