Refrigerant Pressure Sensor / Switch: Testing and Inspection





HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING: AIR CONDITIONING PRESSURE SENSOR: ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. INSPECT A/C PRESSURE SENSOR

(a) Reconnect the A/C pressure sensor connector.

(b) Remove the A/C amplifier with the connectors still connected.

(c) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(d) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.





Standard Voltage:





HINT
If the measured voltage is not within the normal range, there may be a malfunction in the A/C amplifier, A/C pressure sensor, or wire harness. It is also possible that the amount of refrigerant may not be appropriate.

(e) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

2. INSPECT LOW PRESSURE SENSOR

(a) Reconnect the low pressure sensor connector.

(b) Remove the A/C amplifier with the connectors still connected.

(c) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(d) Remove the A/C amplifier with the connectors still connected.





(e) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:





HINT
If the measured voltage is not within the normal range, there may be a malfunction in the A/C amplifier, low pressure sensor, or wire harness. It is also possible that the amount of refrigerant may not be appropriate.
