Installation





REAR SUSPENSION: REAR STABILIZER BAR: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Install the rear stabilizer link assembly LH and height control sensor link bracket to the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly LH with the bolt and nut.

Torque : 27 Nm (275 kgf-cm, 20 ft-lbf)

HINT
There is only the height control sensor link bracket on vehicles with the HID headlight system.

2. INSTALL REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Install the rear stabilizer link assembly RH to the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly RH with the bolt and nut.





Torque : 27 Nm (275 kgf-cm, 20 ft-lbf)

3. INSTALL REAR STABILIZER BAR

(a) Install the 2 rear stabilizer bushings and 2 rear stabilizer brackets to the rear stabilizer bar.

NOTICE:
Be sure to install the rear stabilizer bushings so that each cutout faces the rear of the vehicle.

(b) Temporarily install the rear stabilizer bar so that the indication mark on the rear stabilizer bar is on the right side of the vehicle.

(c) Install the rear stabilizer bar with the 4 bolts to the rear suspension member sub-assembly.





Torque : 32 Nm (326 kgf-cm, 24 ft-lbf)

(d) Using the ball joint lock nut wrench, install the rear stabilizer bar to the 2 rear stabilizer link assemblies with the 2 nuts.

Torque : 89 Nm (908 kgf-cm, 66 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
Use the formula to calculate special torque values for situations where the ball joint lock nut wrench is combined with a torque wrench Service Precautions.

HINT
If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a hexagon socket wrench to hold the stud bolt.

4. INSTALL REAR LOWER SUSPENSION MEMBER STOPPER REINFORCE LH

(a) Support the rear suspension member sub-assembly with a jack using a attachment or equivalent tools as shown in the illustration.

(b) Remove the bolt.





(c) Install the rear lower suspension member stopper reinforce LH with the bolt (A), bolt (B) and nut.





Bolt (A) - Torque : 127 Nm (1300 kgf-cm, 94 ft-lbf

Bolt (B) and Nut - Torque : 35 Nm (357 kgf-cm, 26 ft-lbf

5. INSTALL REAR LOWER SUSPENSION MEMBER STOPPER REINFORCE RH

HINT
Perform the same procedure as the LH side.

6. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 BODY MOUNTING BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Install the rear No. 2 body mounting bracket sub-assembly LH with the 2 bolts.





Torque : 52 Nm (530 kgf-cm, 38 ft-lbf)

7. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 BODY MOUNTING BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

HINT
Perform the same procedure as the LH side.

8. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 FLOOR BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Temporarily install the rear No. 1 floor board sub-assembly with the 5 clips (B).





(b) Install the 4 clips (A) to install the rear No. 1 floor board sub-assembly.

9. INSTALL TAIL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

HINT
Refer to procedures from Install Tail Exhaust Pipe Assembly.

10. STABILIZE SUSPENSION Installation

11. FULLY TIGHTEN REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Fully tighten the bolt.





Torque : 110 Nm (1122 kgf-cm, 81 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
* Turn the bolt while holding the nut.
* The final torque must be applied under standard vehicle height conditions.

12. FULLY TIGHTEN REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY RH

HINT
Perform the same procedure as the LH side.

13. INSTALL NO. 2 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR Installation

14. INSTALL NO. 1 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR

HINT
Perform the same procedure as the No. 2 differential support protector.

15. INSTALL REAR WHEELS

Torque : 103 Nm (1050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)

16. INSPECT AND ADJUST HEADLIGHT AIMING (w/ HID Headlight System)
