REAR SUSPENSION: REAR STABILIZER BAR: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE TAIL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

HINT
Refer to procedures up to Remove Tail Exhaust Pipe Assembly.

2. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 FLOOR BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 4 clips (A).

(b) Separate the 5 clips (B) and remove the rear No. 1 floor board sub-assembly and 5 clips (B).

3. REMOVE NO. 2 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR Removal

4. REMOVE NO. 1 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR

HINT
Perform the same procedure as the No. 2 differential support protector.

5. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 BODY MOUNTING BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and rear No. 2 body mounting bracket sub-assembly LH.

6. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 BODY MOUNTING BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

HINT
Perform the same procedure as the LH side.

7. REMOVE REAR LOWER SUSPENSION MEMBER STOPPER REINFORCE LH

(a) Support the rear suspension member sub-assembly with a jack using a attachment or equivalent tools as shown in the illustration.

(b) Remove the 2 bolts, nut and rear lower suspension member stopper reinforce LH.

8. REMOVE REAR LOWER SUSPENSION MEMBER STOPPER REINFORCE RH

HINT
Perform the same procedure as the LH side.

9. REMOVE REAR STABILIZER BAR

(a) Remove the 4 bolts, 2 nuts and 2 rear stabilizer brackets to remove the rear stabilizer bar and 2 rear stabilizer bushings.

HINT
If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a hexagon socket wrench to hold the stud bolt.

(b) Remove the 2 rear stabilizer bushings from the rear stabilizer bar.

10. LOOSEN REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Loosen the bolt.

NOTICE:
* Do not remove the bolt.
* Turn the bolt while holding the nut.

HINT
Loosening the bolt makes it easier to remove the the rear stabilizer link assembly.

11. LOOSEN REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY RH

HINT
Perform the same procedure as the LH side.

12. REMOVE REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the nut and bolt, and separate the height control sensor link bracket form the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly LH.

There is only the height control sensor link bracket on vehicles with the HID headlight system.

(b) Remove the rear stabilizer link assembly LH from the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly LH.

13. REMOVE REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Remove the nut, bolt and rear stabilizer link assembly RH from the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly RH.
