A760E AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION / TRANSAXLE: VALVE BODY ASSEMBLY: INSPECTION

1. INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SL1

(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





(b) Connect a positive (+) lead with a 21 W bulb to terminal 2 and a negative (-) lead to terminal 1 of the solenoid valve connector, then check the operation of the valve.

OK:

The solenoid makes an operating sound.

If the resistance is not within the specified range, replace the shift solenoid valve SL1.

2. INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE S1

(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





(b) Connect a positive (+) lead to the terminal of the solenoid connector, and a negative (-) lead to the solenoid body, then check the operation of the valve.

OK:

The solenoid makes an operating sound.

If the resistance is not within the specified range, replace the shift solenoid valve S1.

3. INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE S2

(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





(b) Connect a positive (+) lead to the terminal of the solenoid connector, and a negative (-) lead to the solenoid body.

OK:

The solenoid makes an operating sound.

If the resistance is not within the specified range, replace the shift solenoid valve S2.

4. INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE S3

(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





(b) Connect a positive (+) lead to the terminal of the solenoid connector, and a negative (-) lead to the solenoid body, then check the operation of the valve.

OK:

The solenoid makes an operating sound.

If the resistance is not within the specified range, replace the shift solenoid valve S3.

5. INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE S4

(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





(b) Connect a positive (+) lead to the terminal of the solenoid connector, and a negative (-) lead to the solenoid body.

OK:

The solenoid makes an operating sound.

If the resistance is not within the specified range, replace the shift solenoid valve S4.

6. INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SL2

(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





(b) Connect a positive (+) lead with a 21 W bulb to terminal 2 and a negative (-) lead to terminal 1 of the solenoid valve connector, then check the operation of the valve.

OK:

The solenoid makes an operating sound.

If the resistance is not within the specified range, replace the shift solenoid valve SL2.

7. INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SR

(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





(b) Connect a positive (+) lead to the terminal of the solenoid valve connector, and a negative (-) lead to the solenoid body, then check the operation of the valve.

OK:

The solenoid makes an operating sound.

If the resistance is not within the specified range, replace the shift solenoid valve SR.

8. INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SLT

(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





(b) Connect a positive (+) lead with a 21 W bulb to terminal 2 and a negative (-) lead to terminal 1 of the solenoid valve connector, then check the operation of the valve.

OK:

The solenoid makes an operating sound.

If the resistance is not within the specified range, replace the shift solenoid valve SLT.

9. INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SLU

(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





(b) Connect a positive (+) lead with a 21 W bulb to terminal 2 and a negative (-) lead to terminal 1 of the solenoid valve connector, then check the operation of the valve.

OK:

The solenoid makes an operating sound.

If the resistance is not within the specified range, replace the shift solenoid valve SLU.
