Applicability

Introduction

Some 2010 - 2011 model year IS 250C/350C vehicles may exhibit a groan noise during front seat back adjustment. This condition may be present on both front seats. A revised seat adjuster assembly has been developed to address this condition.

Repair Procedure

1. With the seat unoccupied confirm the condition by adjusting the front seat back position.

^ If a groan noise is present this TSIB applies.

^ If not follow the Repair Manual for additional diagnostics.

2. Remove the seat adjuster assembly.

Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS) applicable model and model year Repair Manual:

^ 2010 IS 250C/350C:
Vehicle Interior - Seat - "Seat Front Seat Assembly: Removal / Disassembly"

^ 2011 IS 250C/350C:
Vehicle Interior - Seat - "Seat Front Seat Assembly: Removal / Disassembly"

3. Install the NEW seat adjuster assembly.

^ 2010 IS 250C/350C:

^ 2011 IS 250C/350C:
Vehicle Interior - Seat - "Seat Front Seat Assembly: Removal / Disassembly"

4. Install the front seat belt.





A. Install the front seat belt anchor plate.





B. Install the front seat belt inner and torque to the following specifications.

Torque: 42 N*m (4.28 kgf*cm, 31 ft*lbf)

5. Install the seat assembly.

6. Confirm front seat back adjuster operation.
