WINDOW / GLASS: POWER WINDOW CONTROL SYSTEM: OPERATION CHECK
1. CHECK WINDOW LOCK SWITCH
HINT
Before performing the window lock switch operation check, make sure that the window lock switch is off (the switch is not pushed in).
(a) Check that the power window regulator switch assembly and all window switch (sliding roof switch assembly) are disabled when the window lock switch of the power window regulator master switch assembly is pressed.
OK:
Power window regulator switch assembly and all window switch (sliding roof switch assembly) are disabled.
(b) Check that the power window regulator switch assembly and all window switch (sliding roof switch assembly) operate when the window lock switch is pressed again.
OK:
Power window regulator switch assembly and all window switch (sliding roof switch assembly) operate normally.
2. CHECK MANUAL UP / DOWN FUNCTION
(a) Check that the driver door power window operates as follows:
OK
(b) Check that the front passenger door power window operates as follows:
OK
3. CHECK ALL POWER WINDOW MANUAL UP / DOWN FUNCTION
(a) Check that all power windows operate as follows when operating the all window switch (sliding roof switch assembly).
OK
4. CHECK AUTO UP / DOWN FUNCTION
(a) Check that the driver door power window operates as follows:
OK
(b) Check that the front passenger door power window operates as follows:
OK

5. CHECK ALL POWER WINDOW AUTO DOWN FUNCTION
(a) Check that all power windows operate as follows when operating the all window switch (sliding roof switch assembly).
OK
6. CHECK REMOTE MANUAL UP / DOWN FUNCTION
(a) Check that the front passenger door and quarter power windows operate as follows:
OK
7. CHECK REMOTE AUTO UP* / DOWN FUNCTION

(a) Check that the front passenger door and quarter power windows operate as follows:
OK
8. CHECK POWER WINDOW OPERATION FUNCTION AFTER ENGINE SWITCH IS TURNED OFF
(a) Check that front power windows can be operated with the power window regulator master switch assembly and power window regulator switch assembly after the engine switch is turned off.
HINT
If the window lock switch is on, the windows cannot be operated using the power window regulator switch assembly. Therefore, turn the window lock switch off before checking the window operation.
(b) Check that the key-off operation function does not operate after the driver door or front passenger door is opened.
HINT
If the driver door or front passenger door is opened during automatic window operation while the key-off operation function is on, the window will stop operating.
(c) Check that front power windows cannot be operated after more than approximately 45 seconds have elapsed since the engine switch was turned off.
9. CHECK WIRELESS TRANSMITTER-LINKED FUNCTION (w/ Occupant Classification System)*
*: This function is set through the customize function, as it is off by default.
(a) Check that all power windows operate as follows when operating the transmitter.

10. CHECK METAL TOP-LINKED POWER WINDOW OPERATION
(a) Check that the front and quarter windows fully close when the metal top switch is held in the close position after the metal top has fully closed.
HINT
This function operates regardless of the window lock switch condition.
(b) Check that the front door windows and quarter windows fully lower before the roof operation starts.

This function operates regardless of the window lock switch condition.
11. CHECK DOOR-LINKED POWER WINDOW OPERATION
(a) Check that the corresponding front door window automatically lowers 15 mm (0.591 in.) when a front door is opened with the front door window fully closed (courtesy switch on)
(b) Check that the lowered window fully closes automatically after the front door is closed.
12. CHECK QUARTER WINDOW-LINKED POWER WINDOW OPERATION
(a) Check that the front door window first automatically lowers 15 mm (0.591 in.) and then the quarter window lowers when lowering a quarter window with the front door window fully closed.
(b) Check that the lowered window fully closes automatically after the front door is closed.
13. CHECK JAM PROTECTION FUNCTION
(a) Check the basic function.
CAUTION:
* Do not put your fingers between the door frame and door glass to check the jam protection function. Also, prevent any part of your body from being caught during inspection.
HINT
The jam protection function is operative during both auto up and manual up* operations.

(1) Fully open the window.
(2) Set a thick book wrapped with a piece of cloth near the window fully closed position.
(3) Operate the auto up and manual up* function to check that the power window goes down after the book is caught between the window and door frame, and stops when the opening reaches approximately 200 mm (7.874 in.).
*: w/ Occupant Classification System except Front Passenger Side
HINT
The power window moves down approximately 50 mm (1.969 in.). However, when the opening does not reach 200 mm (7.874 in.), the power window continues to go down until the opening reaches 200 mm (7.874 in.) or until approximately 5 seconds elapse.
(4) While the power window is moving down, check that the door glass cannot be raised when the power window switch is used.
14. CHECK POWER WINDOW SWITCH LED ILLUMINATION
(a) Check the LED illumination (power window regulator master switch assembly).
