DESCRIPTION

The multiplex network master switch receives remote control signals from the door key cylinder and the electrical key. When the sliding roof is operated by a remote control signal, sliding roof operation signals are input via BEAN communication and the sliding roof motor starts moving.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
* The sliding roof key-linked function and transmitter-linked function can be customized. Make sure that both functions are ON Customize Parameters.
* When the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly is reinstalled or replaced, the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly must be initialized Initialization.
* Since the sliding roof system has functions that use BEAN communication, first confirm that there is no malfunction in the communication system by inspecting the BEAN communication functions in accordance with the How to Proceed with Troubleshooting procedure. Then, conduct the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK REMOTE CONTROL FUNCTION

2. CHECK POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL FUNCTION

(a) Check the power door lock control function Operation Check.

OK:

Power door lock control function operates normally.

NG -- GO TO POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM How To Proceed With Troubleshooting
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK KEY-LINKED FUNCTION

(a) Check the key-linked function (driver door only).

(1) Insert the key into the driver side door key lock cylinder, and turn the key to the UNLOCK position for approximately 1.5 seconds or more. Check that the windows start going down and the sliding roof starts moving (SLIDE OPEN/TILT UP operation). Then release the key and check that the windows and sliding roof stop moving.

HINT
Turn and hold the key to the UNLOCK position 2.5 seconds or more, then the sliding roof starts moving (SLIDE OPEN/TILT UP operation).

(2) Insert the key into the driver side door key lock cylinder, and turn the key to the LOCK position for approximately 1.5 seconds or more. Check that the windows start going up and the sliding roof starts moving (SLIDE CLOSE/TILT DOWN operation). Then release the key and check that the windows and sliding roof stop moving.

HINT
Turn and hold the key to the LOCK position 2.5 seconds or more, then the sliding roof starts moving (SLIDE CLOSE/TILT DOWN operation).

4. CHECK WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL FUNCTION

(a) Check the wireless door lock control function Operation Check.

OK:

Wireless door lock control function operates normally.

NG -- GO TO WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM How To Proceed With Troubleshooting
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK TRANSMITTER-LINKED FUNCTION

(a) Check the transmitter-linked function.

(1) Make sure that the electrical key is not in the cabin, and all doors are closed.

(2) Hold down the transmitter UNLOCK switch 2.4 seconds or more. Check that the windows start going down and the sliding roof starts moving (SLIDE OPEN/TILT UP operation). Then release the switch and check that the windows and sliding roof stop moving.

HINT
Hold down the transmitter UNLOCK switch 3.4 seconds or more, then the sliding roof starts moving (SLIDE OPEN/TILT UP operation).
