DESCRIPTION

This circuit provides power to operate the windshield wiper switch assembly. The manual operation signals are sent to the main body ECU LH (cowl side junction block LH).

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

HINT
Before starting the following procedure, check that multiplex communication system (MPX) DTCs are not output Multiplex Communication System.

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Switch / Data List.

(e) Read the display on the Techstream.

NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the J26 windshield wiper switch assembly connector.





(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY Components
