DESCRIPTION
This circuit consists of the rear A/C switch (built into rear power seat module) and the air conditioning amplifier. When the rear A/C switch is operated, signals are transmitted to the air conditioning amplifier through the LIN communication system.
If the LIN communication system malfunctions, the air conditioning amplifier does not operate even if the rear A/C switch is operated.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. INSPECT FUSE (RR MPX-B2)
(a) Remove the RR MPX-B2 fuse from the luggage room junction block.
(b) Measure the resistance of the fuse.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR POWER SEAT MODULE - BODY GROUND AND BATTERY)
(a) Disconnect the r2*1 or S15*2 rear power seat module connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
except 4-Passenger with Ottoman
for 4-Passenger with Ottoman
(c) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:
except 4-Passenger with Ottoman
for 4-Passenger with Ottoman
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER - REAR POWER SEAT MODULE)
(a) Disconnect the r2*1 or S15*2 rear power seat module connector.
(b) Disconnect the L76 air conditioning amplifier connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
except 4-Passenger with Ottoman
for 4-Passenger with Ottoman
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. REPLACE REAR POWER SEAT MODULE
(a) for Power Seat:
Replace the rear power seat module with a new or properly functioning one Disassembly.
(b) for 4-Passenger with Ottoman:
Replace the rear power seat module with a new or properly functioning one Removal.
(c) for 5-Passenger with Ottoman:
Replace the rear power seat module with a new or properly functioning one Disassembly.
(d) Operate the rear power seat module to check that it functions properly.
OK:
Rear power seat module function operates normally.
NG -- REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER Removal
OK -- END (REAR POWER SEAT MODULE IS FAULTY)
