Applicability

Introduction

Some 2007 - 2011 LS 460/460L and 2008 - 2011 LS 600hL model year vehicles may exhibit a knocking type noise when going over bumps. This may be accompanied by a rough ride condition. Follow the Repair Procedure in this bulletin to address this condition.

Repair Procedure

1. Conduct a road test over bumps and rough road surfaces such as Bott's Dots or other raised pavement markers or speed bumps to verify the noise.

HINT

Use chassis ears to help in verifying condition.

NOTE

Vehicle may have both conditions.

2. Replace the affected Front Shock Absorber with updated actuator.





The installation instructions for attaching the air suspension actuator have changed, the updated bracket changes are shown.
