DESCRIPTION

When the driving support ECU receives a hybrid control system or SFI system malfunctioning signal from the hybrid vehicle control ECU via the CAN communication line, DTC C1A40 is output.

When DTC C1A40 is detected, the hybrid control system or engine control system DTC will also be detected.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK FOR DTC (HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM)

(a) Check for DTCs Hybrid Control System.

A -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK FOR DTC (SFI SYSTEM)

(a) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

B -- GO TO SFI SYSTEM SFI System
A -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Using the Techstream, enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Collision 2 / Trouble Code.

(b) Select "Clear" and clear the data.

(c) Recheck for DTC.

OK:

DTC C1A40 is not output.

NG -- REPLACE DRIVING SUPPORT ECU Removal
