INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CONFIRM LIGHT POSITION

(a) Check the malfunctioning personal light.

Result

B -- REPLACE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY Removal
A -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAP LIGHT - BATTERY)

(a) Disconnect the X4 ECU connector.

(b) Measure the voltage to the according value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. INSPECT REAR MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the rear map light Removal.

(b) Apply battery voltage to the map light and check the rear map light.

OK:

Standard resistance:

NG -- REPLACE REAR MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAP LIGHT - REAR MAP LIGHT)

(a) Disconnect the X4, X6 and X12 light connectors.

(b) Measure the resistance to the according value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY Removal
