INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
First perform the communication function inspections in HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING to confirm that there are no LIN communication malfunctions before troubleshooting this symptom.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK CONDITION

(a) Check the malfunction conditions.

C -- GO TO PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (COURTESY LIGHT) Problem Symptoms Table

B -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU
A -- Continue to next step.

2. CONFIRM LIGHT POSITION

(a) Check the malfunctioning dome light.

C -- CHECK MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (ILLB VOLTAGE)

B -- REPLACE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY Removal
A -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY - MAP LIGHT)





(a) Disconnect the X4 light connector.

(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY Removal

4. CHECK MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (ILLB VOLTAGE)





(a) Remove the map light with connecting connector.

(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage:





NG -- REPLACE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAP LIGHT - REAR MAP LIGHT)





(a) Disconnect the X4, X6 and X12 light connectors.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

6. CHECK REAR MAP LIGHT (OPERATION)

(a) Temporarily replace the rear map light with a new or normally functioning one Removal.

(b) Check the rear map light operation.

OK:

Rear map light operation is normal.

NG -- REPLACE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY Removal

OK -- END (REPLACE REAR MAP LIGHT) Removal
