Installation
SUSPENSION: FRONT LOWER BALL JOINT: INSTALLATION
HINT
* Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
* The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
* A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart Standard Bolt - Specified Torque For Standard Bolts.
1. INSTALL FRONT LOWER BALL JOINT ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Install the front lower ball joint LH to the front suspension lower arm with the nut.
Torque : 145 Nm (1479 kgf-cm, 107 ft-lbf)
NOTICE:
If it is necessary to align the holes for the clips after installing the nuts, the nuts can be tightened up to 60° more.
(b) Install a new clip.
2. INSTALL STEERING KNUCKLE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Installation
3. CONNECT FRONT NO. 1 SUSPENSION UPPER ARM ASSEMBLY LH Installation
4. CONNECT FRONT NO. 2 SUSPENSION UPPER ARM ASSEMBLY LH Installation
5. CONNECT TIE ROD ASSEMBLY LH Installation
6. INSTALL FRONT SPEED SENSOR LH Installation
7. CONNECT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE Installation
8. CONNECT FRONT NO. 2 SUSPENSION LOWER ARM LH
(a) Connect the front suspension lower arm LH to the front lower ball joint with the nut.
Torque : 145 Nm (1479 kgf-cm, 107 ft-lbf)
NOTICE:
If it is necessary to align the holes for the clips after installing the nuts, the nuts can be tightened up to 60° more.
(b) Install a new clip.
9. CONNECT FRONT HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Installation
10. INSTALL FRONT DISC BRAKE DUST COVER LH Installation
11. INSTALL FRONT DISC Installation
12. INSTALL FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH Installation
13. INSTALL FRONT AXLE SHAFT NUT LH Installation
14. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL
Torque : 140 Nm (1428 kgf-cm, 103 ft-lbf)
15. INSPECT AND ADJUST FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT
(a) Inspect and adjust the front wheel alignment Front Wheel Alignment.
16. CHECK SUSPENSION CONTROL SYSTEM
(a) Check the suspension control system Adjustments.
17. ADJUST HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY
(a) for LED headlight: Adjust the headlight Headlight Assembly (for LED Headlight).
(b) for HID headlight: Adjust the headlight Headlight Assembly (for HID Headlight).
18. ADJUST OBJECT RECOGNITION CAMERA
(a) Adjust the object recognition camera Adjustments.
