Service Precautions
^ Precaution should be taken to prevent any foreign objects from entering the waterproof parts of the removed inverter terminals (Figure 1).
^ After removal of the motor and generator cables, install the inverter terminal cover and cover the hole where the cables were connected with tape (non-residue type) or equivalent (Figure 2).
^ When servicing the inverter assembly, permanent damage may occur when attempting to remove the inverter coolant hoses No. 1 and No. 2.
^ The coolant pipes attached to the inverter assembly are made of aluminum and may be damaged during hose removal.
^ Disconnect the coolant hoses at the reservoir tank and coolant pipe locations (A) shown in Figure 3.
Replacement inverter assemblies are shipped with these hoses pre-installed so removal of the inverter side of the hose is NOT necessary.
^ Place and secure plastic bags around the ends of the hoses (A) to prevent coolant from spilling.
NOTE
Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS), applicable model year LS 600h Repair Manual for complete disassembly and reassembly procedures.
