Applicability

Introduction

Some 2011 - 2012 model year CT 200h vehicles may experience an abnormal vibration or droning noise when the Internal Combustion Engine is operating after extended cold soak in extremely low temperature conditions until the engine bay begins to warm up. The rear engine mount has been updated to address this condition.

This TSIB applies to:

^ ALL 2011 MY vehicles.

Repair Procedure

1. If customer complains of excessive vibration or abnormal humming through vehicle until engine warms up after an extensive cold soak (below 32°F [0°C]) replace the rear engine mount with the updated part.

A. Remove the engine under cover and properly support the engine assembly with a jack and remove the two bolts from the rear engine mount.





B. Install the new rear engine mount and properly torque the bolts.

Torque: 95 N*m (969 kgf*cm, 70 ft*lbf)

C. Reposition and reinstall the engine under cover into place.

2. Confirm repair.
