OTHER SYSTEM: CLOCK: ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. INSPECT CLOCK ASSEMBLY (w/o Navigation System w/o Multi-display)

(a) Disconnect the E3 connector.





(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage:





HINT
If the value is not as specified, repair or replace the wire harness or connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





HINT
If the value is not as specified, repair or replace the wire harness or connector.

(d) Reconnect the E3 connector.

(e) Check the waveform according to the illustration shown in below.





OK:





HINT
If the result is not as specified, replace the heater control panel because the clock assembly does not supplied independently.

(1) Waveform (Reference): Using oscilloscope:









HINT
Duty ratio changes as the illumination becomes darker (the period "A" shown in the illustration becomes longer).

2. INSPECT CLOCK ASSEMBLY (w/ Navigation System), (w/o Navigation System w/ Multi-display)

(a) Disconnect the E18 connector.





(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage:





HINT
If the value is not as specified, repair or replace the wire harness or connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





HINT
If the value is not as specified, repair or replace the wire harness or connector.

(d) Reconnect the E18 connector.

(e) Check the waveform according to the illustration shown in below.





OK:





HINT
If the result is not as specified, replace the multi-display because the clock assembly does not supplied independently.
