Installation

SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Check that the engine switch is off.

(b) Check that the battery negative (-) cable is disconnected.

CAUTION:
Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent airbag deployment.

(c) Install the center airbag sensor assembly with the 3 bolts.





Torque : 18 Nm (184 kgf-cm, 13 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
* If the center airbag sensor assembly has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case, bracket or connector, replace it with a new one.
* When installing the center airbag sensor assembly, be careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with other parts and that it is not pinched between other parts.

(d) Check that there is no looseness in the installation parts of the center airbag sensor assembly.

(e) Connect the holder (with connectors).

(f) Check that the water-proof sheet is properly set.

12. INSTALL HEATER SEAT SWITCH CONSOLE BASE (w/ Seat Heater System) Installation

13. INSTALL UPPER CONSOLE PANEL ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT ASH RECEPTACLE Installation

14. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

15. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL RH Installation

16. INSTALL FRONT PASSENGER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Installation

17. INSTALL SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL RH Installation

18. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

19. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER RH Installation

20. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH Installation

21. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH Installation

22. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

23. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH Installation

24. INSTALL SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL LH Installation

25. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH Installation

26. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Installation

27. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

28. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

(a) Perform initialization Repair Instruction - Initialization.

HINT
Some systems need initialization after reconnecting the cable to the negative battery terminal.

29. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT

(a) Inspect the SRS warning light Diagnosis System.
