9. CHECK HYBRID BATTERY JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY
CAUTION:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves.
(a) Check that the service plug grip is not installed.
NOTICE:
After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the power switch on (READY), unless instructed by the repair manual because this may cause a malfunction.
(b) Disconnect the high voltage connectors of the HV battery assembly from the hybrid battery junction block assembly.
(c) Using a megohmmeter set to 500 V, measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
NOTICE:
Be sure to set megohmmeter to 500 V when performing this test. Using a setting higher than 500 V can result in damage to the component being inspected.

NOTICE:
- Inspect the hybrid battery junction block assembly being installed to the hybrid battery cover sub-assembly upper.
- An electrical charge may remain in the noise filter capacitor installed to the hybrid battery assembly after the inspection. Wait for 10 seconds after the inspection and ensure that voltage between terminals N3-1 (CEI) and N4-1 (CBI) of the hybrid battery junction block assembly and body ground is 1 V or less.

10. CHECK HV BATTERY AREA
CAUTION:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves.
(a) Turn the power switch off.
(b) Check that the service plug grip is not installed.
NOTICE:
After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the power switch on (READY), unless instructed by the repair manual because this may cause a malfunction.
(c) Disconnect connector z22 from the battery smart unit.
(d) Using a megohmmeter set to 500 V, measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
NOTICE:
Be sure to set the megohmmeter to 500 V when performing this test. Using a setting higher than 500 V can result in damage to the component being inspected.
Standard Resistance:

OK -- REPLACE BATTERY SMART UNIT Components
11. CHECK INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY
CAUTION:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves.
(a) Turn the power switch off.
(b) Check that the service plug grip is not installed.
NOTICE:
After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the power switch on (READY), unless instructed by the repair manual because this may cause a malfunction.
(c) Remove the connector cover assembly from the inverter with converter assembly.
HINT
Make sure that no foreign objects have entered or contaminated the inverter with converter assembly.
(d) Disconnect the generator cable z10 from the inverter with converter assembly.
(e) Disconnect the motor cable z8 from the inverter with converter assembly.
(f) Using a megohmmeter set to 500 V, measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
NOTICE:
Be sure to set the megohmmeter to 500 V when performing this test. Using a setting higher than 500 V can result in damage to the component being inspected.

12. CHECK HYBRID VEHICLE TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY (MOTOR CABLE)
CAUTION:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves.
(a) Turn the power switch off.
(b) Check that the service plug grip is not installed.
NOTICE:
After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the power switch on (READY), unless instructed by the repair manual because this may cause a malfunction.
(c) Remove the connector cover assembly from the inverter with converter assembly.
HINT
Make sure that no foreign objects have entered or contaminated the inverter with converter assembly.
(d) Disconnect the generator cable z10 from the inverter with converter assembly.
(e) Disconnect the motor cable z8 from the inverter with converter assembly.
(f) Using a megohmmeter set to 500 V, measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
NOTICE:
Be sure to set the megohmmeter to 500 V when performing this test. Using a setting higher than 500 V can result in damage to the component being inspected.

14. CHECK HIGH VOLTAGE DIRECT CURRENT AREA

(b) Disconnect the frame wire N1 from the inverter with converter assembly.

(c) Using a megohmmeter set to 500 V, measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
