DESCRIPTION

When the mirror heater switch on the integration control and panel assembly is pressed, the operation signal is transmitted to the A/C amplifier assembly through a LIN communication line. When the A/C amplifier assembly receives the signal, it turns on the integration relay to operate the mirror heater.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical /Air Conditioner / Active Test.

(e) Perform an Active Test according to the display on the Techstream.

2. CHECK DEFOGGER SYSTEM

(a) Check the rear window defogger operation.

OK:

The rear window defogger operates normally.

NG -- GO TO WINDOW DEFOGGER SYSTEM Problem Symptoms Table
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INTEGRATION RELAY - BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the 1H and 1G connectors from the integration relay.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (INTEGRATION RELAY - BODY GROUND)
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH - INTEGRATION RELAY)

(a) Disconnect 1I connector from the integration relay.

(b) Disconnect the H10 connector from the outer rear view mirror assembly RH.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH - INTEGRATION RELAY)
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH - INTEGRATION RELAY)

(a) Disconnect the I10 outer rear view mirror assembly LH connector.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH - INTEGRATION RELAY)
OK -- Continue to next step.

6. REPLACE INTEGRATION RELAY

(a) Replace the integration relay Removal.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

7. CHECK MIRROR HEATER SYSTEM

(a) Check the mirror heater system.

OK:

Mirror heater system is normal.

NG -- REPLACE A/C AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY Removal

OK -- END (INTEGRATION RELAY WAS DEFECTIVE)

8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH - BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the H10 connector from the outer rear view mirror assembly RH.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH - BODY GROUND)
OK -- Continue to next step.

9. CHECK OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Remove the outer rear view mirror assembly RH Removal.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

10. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH - BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the I10 connector from the outer rear view mirror assembly LH.

(1) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH - BODY GROUND)
OK -- Continue to next step.

11. CHECK OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the outer rear view mirror assembly LH Removal.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
