Disassembly

SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY: DISASSEMBLY

1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY

(a) Press the headrest support button and pull up the headrest as shown in the illustration to remove it.





2. REMOVE RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

(a) Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 claws and remove the reclining power seat switch knob.





3. REMOVE SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

(a) Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.





(b) Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 claws and remove the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.





4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the 2 hooks and remove the 2 rubber bands of the front seatback board from the front seat frame.





(b) w/o Memory:

(1) Remove the 5 screws.





(2) Disengage the guide and claw, and remove the front seat cushion shield assembly.

(c) w/ Memory:

(1) Remove the 6 screws.





(2) Disengage the claw and guide, remove the front seat cushion shield assembly.

(d) for Driver Side:

(1) Disconnect the connector from the front power seat lumbar switch.





5. REMOVE FRONT INNER NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION SHIELD

(a) Remove the screw.





(b) Disengage the guide and 3 claws, and remove the front inner No. 1 seat cushion shield from the front seat cushion shield as shown in the illustration.





6. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT LUMBAR SWITCH (for Driver Side)

(a) Remove the 2 screws and the front power seat lumbar switch.





7. REMOVE POWER SEAT SWITCH (w/o Memory)

(a) Remove the 3 screws.





(b) Disengage the guide.

(c) Disconnect the connector and remove the power seat switch.





8. REMOVE POWER SEAT SWITCH (w/ Memory)

(a) Remove the 3 screws.





(b) Disengage the guide.

(c) Disconnect the 2 connectors and remove the power seat switch.





9. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY Removal

10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD

(a) Remove the screw.





(b) Disengage the claw.

(c) Separate the guide and remove the front seat cushion inner shield as shown in the illustration.





11. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

(a) Disengage the 3 fasteners.





(b) w/o Climate Control Seat System:

(1) Disengage the 6 clamps.





(c) w/ Climate Control Seat System:

(1) Disconnect the 2 connectors.





(2) Disengage the 6 clamps.

(3) Disconnect the connector.





(d) Disengage the 4 hooks.





(e) Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.





(f) Remove each hook and the front seat cushion cover with pad.

12. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

(a) Remove the 14 hog rings and the separate type front seat cushion cover.





13. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (for Front Passenger Side) Removal

14. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 screws.





(b) Disengage the 2 guides and remove the front seatback board sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.





15. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT LH

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front seat headrest support LH.





16. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT RH

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front seat headrest support RH.





17. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD

(a) Disengage the 2 hooks.





(b) Disengage the 5 hooks as shown in the illustration.





(c) Remove the 4 hog rings.





(d) Remove the 3 hog rings.





(e) Remove the nut and front seatback cover bracket.





(f) Remove the front seatback cover with pad from the front seat frame.

18. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

(a) Remove the 14 hog rings and the separate type front seatback cover.





19. REMOVE SEATBACK FELT (for Driver Side)

(a) Remove the 2 seatback felts from the separate type front seatback pad.





20. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

(a) Remove the 4 pieces of double-sided tape.

21. REMOVE FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Removal

22. REMOVE SEATBACK FELT

(a) Disengage the 4 guides and remove the seatback felt.





23. REMOVE SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

(a) Disconnect the connectors.





(b) Disengage the clamp.

(c) Disengage the clamp.





(d) Using a T30 ''TORX'' socket, remove the 6 ''TORX'' bolts and the seatback climate control blower and the seatback climate control cover.

24. REMOVE LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the 4 clamps.





(b) Disengage the 2 guides and remove the front seatback spring sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.





(c) Disconnect the connector.





(d) Remove the 2 screws.

(e) Disengage the guide and remove the lumbar support adjuster assembly.

(f) Remove the bush.





25. REMOVE ACTIVE HEADREST UPPER UNIT

(a) Remove the nut [A] and disconnect the cable from the active headrest upper unit as shown in the illustration.





(b) Remove the 4 nuts [B] and the active headrest upper unit.

26. REMOVE ACTIVE HEADREST LOWER UNIT

(a) Remove the 2 nuts and the active headrest lower unit.





27. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL DUCT (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and disconnect the seat cushion climate control duct as shown in the illustration.





(b) Disengage the 2 claws and pull up the front side of seat cushion climate control duct as shown in the illustration.





(c) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the seat cushion climate control duct as shown in the illustration.





28. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

(a) Disconnect the connector.





(b) Remove the screw.

(c) As shown in the illustration, bend the front part of the front seat cushion bracket.





NOTICE:
Do not bend the front seat cushion bracket excessively.

(d) As shown in the illustration, remove the seat cushion climate control blower with bracket by sliding it rearward of the seat to disengage the 3 hooks.

(e) While holding each nut using a wrench as shown in the illustration, remove the 3 screws and the front seat cushion bracket.





(f) Remove the 3 bushes.

29. REMOVE UPPER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

(a) Remove the 2 screws.

(b) Disengage the guide and remove the side airbag wire harness clamp.

(c) Disengage the guide and remove the upper reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

30. REMOVE LOWER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

(a) Remove the screw.





(b) Disengage the guide and remove the lower reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

31. REMOVE UPPER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

(a) Remove the 2 screws.

(b) Disengage the clamp and guide, and remove the upper reclining adjuster inside cover RH.

32. REMOVE LOWER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

(a) Remove the screw.





(b) Disengage the guide and remove the lower reclining adjuster inside cover RH.

33. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH

(a) Remove the screw.

35. REMOVE SEAT POSITION SENSOR Removal

36. REMOVE SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Heater)

(a) Disconnect the 2 connectors.

(b) Disengage the 2 clamps and remove the seat heater control sub-assembly.

37. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE

(a) Disconnect the connector.





(b) Disengage the 3 clamps.

(c) Disconnect the 3 connectors.





(d) Disengage the 2 claws and 3 clamps, and remove the front seat wire from the front seat frame assembly with adjuster.
