SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

CAUTION:
* Do not apply voltage directly to any of the power seat motors to move the seat assembly.
* If voltage is directly applied to a power seat motor (not through the position control ECU), inconsistencies with previously stored positions may result in abnormal operation.
(a) Place the front seat assembly in the cabin as shown in the illustration.





NOTICE:
* Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
* Make sure the seatback does not contact the shift lever knob.
* Make sure the center pillar does not contact the power seat switch knob.

HINT
Install the seat assembly through the door frame so that it passes under the steering wheel.

(b) Connect the connectors and seat wire under the seat.

(c) Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.

(d) Temporarily install the front seat assembly with the 4 bolts.

(e) Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the rearmost position.

(f) Tighten the 2 bolts on the front side of the seat.





Torque : 37 Nm (377 kgf-cm, 27 ft-lbf)

HINT
Tighten the bolts in the order indicated in the illustration.

(g) Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the foremost position.

(h) Tighten the 2 bolts on the rear side of the seat.





Torque : 37 Nm (377 kgf-cm, 27 ft-lbf)

HINT
Tighten the bolts in the order indicated in the illustration.

2. ZERO POINT CALIBRATION AND SENSITIVITY CHECK (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Perform zero point calibration and sensitivity check Programming and Relearning.

3. INSTALL REAR INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER

(a) Engage the 2 claws and install the rear inner seat track bracket cover as shown in the illustration.





4. INSTALL REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER

(a) Engage the 2 claws and install the rear outer seat track bracket cover as shown in the illustration.





5. INSTALL FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER

(a) Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the rearmost position.

(b) Engage the 2 guides and 2 claws, and install the front inner seat track bracket cover as shown in the illustration.





6. INSTALL FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER

(a) Engage the 2 guides and 2 claws, and install the front outer seat track bracket cover as shown in the illustration.





7. INSPECT FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

(a) Inspect the power seat operation.

(b) w/ Climate Control Seat System:

Check the seat heater operation

(1) Turn the power switch on (IG).

(2) Turn the seat heater switch on.

(3) Wait 5 minutes or more and confirm that the seat surface becomes warm.
