DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) controls the center console spot light.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.

(e) Check that the center console spot light comes on.

Main Body





OK:

Center console spot light comes on.

NG -- INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Interior Lighting System

2. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the map light assembly Components.





(b) Connect a positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 11 (+B1) and a negative (-) lead to terminal 24 (SHFT).

(c) Check that the center console spot light comes on.

OK:

Center console spot light comes on.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the P10 map light assembly connector.

(b) Disconnect the F8 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





(d) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) Components
