STEERING COLUMN: POWER TILT AND POWER TELESCOPIC STEERING COLUMN SYSTEM: SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

2. MANUAL OPERATION

(a) The tilt and telescopic positions can be adjusted as desired by operating the tilt and telescopic switch.

3. AUTO AWAY/RETURN FUNCTION

(a) When the power switch is turned off and the driver seat belt is not attached, the steering column moves forward, away from the driver, and also tilts up for easy ingress and egress.

(b) When the power switch is turned on (IG), the power switch is turned on (ACC) or the driver seat belt is attached, the steering column returns to the previously set position.

(c) The auto away/return function can be prohibited by using the Techstream.

4. DRIVING POSITION MEMORY FUNCTION (with Seat Position Memory System)

(a) The system can memorize or recall three driving positions when a seat memory switch is operated. If steering wheel and seat positions are stored in memory, the system can recall these positions when a memory switch is operated, even if these positions have changed due to a driver getting in or it.
