DESCRIPTION

The display and navigation module display and multi-media interface ECU are connected by the AVC-LAN communication line.

When an AVC-LAN communication error occurs between the display and navigation module display and the multi-media interface ECU, these DTCs will be stored.

* *1: Even if no fault is present, this DTC may be stored depending on the battery condition or engine start voltage.
* The display and navigation module display is the master unit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING)

(a) Check for optional components.

(1) Check that optional components (including associated wiring) which generate radio waves are not installed.

Result:





HINT
* Electrical noise from radio waves generated by optional components or the wiring for those components may affect AVC-LAN communication.
* This DTC may be stored when an AVC-LAN communication error occurs due to electrical noise.

A -- Continue to next step.

2. REMOVE OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING)

(a) Remove optional components (including associated wiring).

NOTICE:
Do not remove optional components or associated wiring without the permission of the customer.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs Audio And Visual System (w/o Navigation System with Multi-display).

(b) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

OK:

No DTCs are output.

NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY - MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU)

OK -- END

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY - MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU)

(a) Disconnect the multi-media interface ECU connector.

(b) Disconnect the display and navigation module display connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU POWER SOURCE)

(a) Reconnect the display and navigation module display connector.

(b) Disconnect the multi-media interface ECU connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





(d) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:





NG -- REPLACE DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

6. REPLACE MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU

(a) Replace the multi-media interface ECU Removal.

(b) Clear the DTCs Audio And Visual System (w/o Navigation System with Multi-display).

(c) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

OK:

No DTCs are output.

NG -- REPLACE DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY Removal

OK -- END
