EXTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: FRONT BUMPER: DISASSEMBLY

1. REMOVE FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH Removal

2. REMOVE FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

3. REMOVE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)

Removal

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

4. REMOVE NO. 3 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)

Removal

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

5. REMOVE NO. 4 ENGINE ROOM WIRE (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)

(a) Disengage the 10 clamps and remove the No. 4 engine room wire.

6. REMOVE HEADLIGHT CLEANER WASHER NOZZLE LH (w/ Headlight Cleaner System) Removal

7. REMOVE HEADLIGHT CLEANER WASHER NOZZLE RH (w/ Headlight Cleaner System)

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

8. REMOVE HEADLIGHT WASHER ACTUATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Headlight Cleaner System) Removal

9. REMOVE HEADLIGHT WASHER ACTUATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Headlight Cleaner System)

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

10. REMOVE HEADLIGHT CLEANER HOSE

(a) Disengage the 6 clamps to remove the headlight cleaner hose.

11. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE EMBLEM (w/o Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)

HINT
When removing the emblem, heat the radiator grille and emblem using a heat light.

Heating Temperature

NOTICE:
Do not heat the radiator grille and emblem excessively.

(a) Put protective tape around the radiator grille emblem.

(b) Remove the radiator grille emblem.

12. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE EMBLEM (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)

(a) Remove the 2 spring nuts.

(b) Disengage the claw and remove the radiator grille emblem.

13. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the 2 clips.

(b) Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.

(d) Disengage the 8 claws and remove the radiator grille assembly.

14. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE

(a) Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.

(b) Disengage the 7 clips from the radiator grille protector.

(d) Disengage the 3 claws and remove the radiator grille.

15. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE PROTECTOR

(a) Disengage the 4 clips and remove the radiator grille protector.

16. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR GRILLE

(a) Disengage the 12 claws and remove the lower radiator grille.

17. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER EXTENSION MOUNTING BRACKET

(a) Remove the 2 screws.

(b) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front bumper extension mounting bracket.

18. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER GUARD COVER LH

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front bumper guard cover LH.

19. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER GUARD COVER RH

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

20. REMOVE FOG LIGHT MOUNTING BRACKET LH

(a) Disengage the claw and remove the front fog light mounting bracket LH.

21. REMOVE FOG LIGHT MOUNTING BRACKET RH

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

22. REMOVE LOWER FRONT BUMPER COVER

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the lower front bumper cover.

23. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RETAINER

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the 2 front fender liner retainers.

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

24. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH

(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front bumper side retainer LH.

25. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

26. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER

(a) Remove the front bumper energy absorber.

27. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT

(a) Disengage the clamp and disconnect the cooler (ambient temp sensor) thermistor.

(b) Disengage the 2 clips and disconnect the radiator support opening cover.

(c) Remove the 6 bolts and front bumper reinforcement.
