MIRROR (EXT): OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR: INSPECTION

1. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Inspect outer mirror motor operation.





(1) Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the mirror face, as shown in the table and illustration.

If the result is not as specified, replace the outer mirror actuator assembly RH.

(b) Inspect the retract mirror operation (for models with retractable mirror).

(1) Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the mirror, as shown in the table below.

If the result is not as specified, replace the outer mirror actuator assembly RH.

(c) Inspect outer mirror heater operation.

(1) Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the mirror face, as shown in the table below.

Standard:





If the result is not as specified, replace the outer rear view mirror assembly RH.

(d) Inspect electrochromic outer mirror operation (for models with auto glare-resistant EC mirror).





(1) Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the mirror face, as shown in the table and illustration.

2. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Inspect outer mirror motor operation.





(1) Remove the outer rear view mirror assembly.

(2) Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the mirror face, as shown in the table and illustration.

If the result is not as specified, replace the outer mirror actuator assembly LH.

(b) Inspect the retract mirror operation (for models with retractable mirror).

(1) Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the mirror, as shown in the table below.

If the result is not as specified, replace the outer mirror actuator assembly LH.

(c) Inspect outer mirror heater operation.

(1) Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the mirror face, as shown in the table below.

If the result is not as specified, replace the outer rear view mirror assembly LH.

(d) Inspect electrochromic outer mirror operation (for models with auto glare-resistant EC mirror does not operate).





(1) Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the mirror face, as shown in the table and illustration.
