SLIDING ROOF / CONVERTIBLE: RETRACTABLE HARDTOP SYSTEM: SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

1. GENERAL

The retractable hardtop system can be opened and closed by pressing and holding the roof control switch. This system has the following features:

* This system consists of 5 links: the roof link for opening and closing the No. 1 and No. 2 roof panels; the back window link for opening and closing the back window panel; the main package tray trim link for deploying, stowing and tilting up the 2 package tray trims; the side package tray trim link for deploying and stowing the side package tray LH/RH; and the luggage link for opening and closing the front of luggage door. These links are operated by electric motors.

* This system is controlled by the sliding roof control ECU assembly. The necessary control signals from other ECUs are input through the BEAN.
