Installation
CRUISE CONTROL: DISTANCE CONTROL ECU: INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL DISTANCE CONTROL ECU
(a) Install the distance control ECU with the nut.
Torque : 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf)
NOTICE:
Do not install the distance control ECU if it has been damaged or impacted in any way.
(b) Connect the distance control ECU connector.
2. INSTALL DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Installation
3. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
4. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
5. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH Installation
6. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH Installation
7. INSTALL DOOR SCUFF PLATE ASSEMBLY LH Installation
8. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
9. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
Service Precautions
10. INITIALIZE DISTANCE CONTROL ECU
NOTICE:
When replacing the distance control ECU, perform the following procedure so that the ECU can learn the specification.
(a) Be sure to perform the following procedure after replacing the distance control ECU.
(1) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(2) Turn the cruise control main switch on.
(3) With the brake pedal depressed, push the cruise control main switch to RES/ACC 3 times within 3 seconds. Check that the buzzer sounds at this time.
(b) Perform any of the following to cancel beam axis adjustment mode.
* Turn the cruise control main switch off.
* Turn the engine switch off.
* Accelerate the vehicle to 10 km/h or more.
