DESCRIPTION

The clearance warning ECU receives the ultrasonic sensor signal to sound the clearance warning buzzer.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the intuitive parking assist system on.

(d) Turn the Techstream on.

(e) Select the Active Test, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that the buzzer operates.

OK:

The clearance warning buzzer sounds.

NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER - BATTERY)

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Intuitive Parking Assist System

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER - BATTERY)

(a) Disconnect the clearance warning buzzer connector.





(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU - CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER)

(a) Disconnect the clearance warning ECU connector.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.





Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. REPLACE CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER

(a) Replace the clearance warning buzzer with a new or normally functioning one Removal.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

5. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the intuitive parking assist system on.

(d) Turn the Techstream on.

(e) Select the Active Test, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that the buzzer operates.

OK:

The clearance warning buzzer sounds.

NG -- REPLACE CLEARANCE WARNING ECU Removal

OK -- END (CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER WAS DEFECTIVE)
